Yoga Fundamentals - Body Strengthening
In the second stage of Hatha Yoga Practice, you will learn to strengthen the body through a series of yogic postures (asana), which may include sweat-producing for further purification. This is a perfect workshop if you are new to yoga, looking to explore, revisit or get back to the basics of yoga asana step by step.
The fundamental of a Yoga Practice must include the following components. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, it is always great to revisit the fundamentals, which introduces you to the following
1. Intention (Bhavana)
2. Postures (Asana)
2. Postures (Asana)
3. Yogic breathing (Pranayama)
4. Meditation (Dhyana), and
5. Relaxation (Vishram) techniques
These five major components are warped into a Sequence (Vinyasa) based on the intention with some focus on Alignment. This class can be a kick-start for your personal yoga practice. And, this practice will help you to get in touch with your body, breath, and mind. Regular practice of yoga promotes well-being and good health and reduces stress and anxiety.
At the end of this class, you will be able to learn and take home a sequence with its variations step by step along with supporting postures, and breath work leading to meditation. You will learn to strengthen the body through a series of yogic postures (asana), which may include sweat-producing, detoxing sequences to further purify - the body, breath, and mind.
Note: This fundamentals class is open to all, suitable for all ages and body types but is not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with significant illness or injury.
